Our
Story

Our Founder and CEO has been serving the Greater Memphis community for over 20 years as an educator and facilitator for some of the city's most reputable organizations. As an educator, she found that the most amazing bouts of discourse and connections were generated when she placed engaging and controversial texts in front of students and "got out of the way." The result was the same when placed in the fire with adult individuals and teams who were struggling to connect during times of organizational adversity. No matter the challenge, the perfect book or article served as an anchor for groups to disagree AND connect in safe spaces.

Founded on the principles of the educational theory Mirrors, Windows, and Sliding Glass Doors, our company brings fresh perspectives- we call them stories or narratives- on high leverage topics that are sure to bring teams together in far more effective ways than your average staff outing or ice breakers!

Our services don't end here because we know that in order to continue the cycle of our work with teams, we must develop the capacity of reading and writing skills in our next generation of organizational leaders.

When you choose Sliding Doors, you are choosing to understand your own narrative, listen to the stories of others, and use all of these perspectives to build lasting connectedness within your community.
